After more than 100 years, electrolysis is still the most popular treatment method for the permanent removal of particular hairs over small areas. Common treatment areas include the chin, eyebrows, upper lip and breast. Electrolysis treats each hair individually so you can book a 10 minute or 25 minute slot depending on the number of hairs requiring treatment. Threading is an ancient eastern art of using a looped thread to gently and effectively remove unwanted hair and is fast becoming the ‘celebrities’ preferred method of shaping for perfect eyebrows, giving you beautiful definition.
Threading is ideal for everybody, especially if you have sensitive skin, any allergies to waxing or if you are on Roaccutane. The treatment is kind to the skin as no heat or chemicals are used and less trauma to the skin helps to reduce premature ageing in the treated areas. It is also great at treating soft downy hairs so is perfect for the sides of the face, lip, chin etc.
At Esqué, all threading treatments are carried out in private treatment rooms.

Our normal ‘warm’ strip wax uses a smooth roller applicator system and is suitable for larger areas. All treatments are suitable for men and women.
FOR BEST RESULTS: exfoliate the day before, do not apply any body moisturiser to the area on the day and avoid tight clothing.
IMPORTANT: Slight soreness, small bumps & redness are common, normal temporary reactions, especially if this is your first wax. These symptoms usually subside within 24-48 hours.
You may notice some regrowth after a week or so. It can take up to 4 treatments for your hair to get on a cycle that gives the best results. Do not shave, tweeze or use hair removal creams between appointments as this interrupts the natural growth cycle.
FREQUENCY: To maintain your smooth appearance we recommend regular waxing every 3-6 weeks.

We have researched and sourced our ‘advanced comfort wax’ to reduce discomfort for those who find waxing a particularly sensitive subject! Our Advanced Comfort Wax also gets shorter hairs that otherwise would be missed by regular wax. It’s kinder to delicate areas so we use it as standard on smaller facial areas and for all our intimate waxing.
